Re: Anan 8000DLE Fan replacement

The fan on my early model 8000DLE pulls air *into* the case and it's been that way since I got it in April 2017. Closer inspection with a zoom camera shows where the fixing nuts where, holding the fan under the bottom detachable sheet. This would mean the air is drawn into the radio as I first susp...

Re: Anan 8000DLE Fan replacement

When I replaced the filter in my 8000DLE it was obvious the fan was pulling air out of the case. The filter was dirty on the inside. Had it been pulling air from outside into the case, it would have pulled the foam filter into the fan . James WD5GWY Makes sense, James, At least this way Pulling air...

Re: Anan 8000DLE Fan replacement

The fan on my 8000 was sounding very lumpy and so ordered a replacement > https://www.mouser.co.uk/ProductDetail/369-MEC0251V3000UA99 So which way did the fan go round ?? Yup, removed without due diligence. I would guess the fan pulls fresh air into the case but if so how does it not suck th...

Forgive me for asking again, Scott.

What should the input impedance of the 10mhz ref input be is it 50ohms or something else? I plan to use the Leo Bodnar GPSDO

Amps with a PS sample Tap

A friend has two HPSDR radios and plans to use both independently but through an SPE V3 amplifier. Radio 1 (Anan7000dle) goes into input1 and uses the -60db tap off the amp back to BYPASS. Output1 to the antenna. Radio 2 (HL2) goes into input2 and uses a directional coupler xtronic on the Output2 an...

That might be a little low to get full output from the Icom mic, as I believe it is 8V on Icom radios. But worth a try. If it doesn't work, just use the mic from your 7000. In fact it might be less work to build/buy a switchbox. You were correct it didnt provide enough drive otherwise the wiring wa...
