Re: Wave Record Never Worked
Well no - because I have no response when I hit the record or quick rec buttons. This fellow only had trouble recording TX audio. The buttons turn Yellow and nothing happens. On the first load of Thetis years ago, it did work. The last year or so, no go. I do use VoiceMeter for local monitoring if t...

Wave Record Never Worked
Greetings all-
Finally getting around to asking this:
My Wave record never worked. You hit record and the box goes yellow- and nothing happens.
There is no clue- as to what causes this. There was no info in searching the forum.
Any ideas out there?
Tnx- Bob AB5N

Re: Frequency Display Reading 3.2Khz high
Alright- should have caught this one. I did frequency cal in USB mode. Ha! the frequency offset should have been the tip-off. It does not say on the Calibration screen to put it in AM mode. I just didn't notice it either because it was zero-beat. All fixed! Thanks guys for all your suggestions. Bob-...

Frequency Display Reading 3.2Khz high
Very odd indeed- Updated to the 2.9.0.8 Beta and the frequency display in Thetis is reading 3.2khz higher than my actual frequency. I can't see anywhere in the setup to fix that. Did the 10 mhz WWV cal a few times... I cannot find any other folks having this problem in the forum. Anybody have this h...

Re: Why is my TX display partially off screen?
Wow... thanks so much. I use CTUN , but did not have Duplex on. Ideal now! Interesting on the sample taken from the coupler with DUP on. I have an external sampler in line, but stopped using my power amp when I developed the RF feedback problems from the case being over-sprayed and grounding being a...

Why is my TX display partially off screen?
Greeting all- This is a small issue, but I've got everything else so dialed-in. In TX, my signal on the scope is only half-visible. I've never been able to find a way to scale it so that it shows the entire signal. The right half of it is always off-screen to the right. In other words, it only shows...

Re: "Hum" on Carrier - Very odd
1st: Signal seems to have cleared up. Clean sine-wave now. I have a complex system here running house AC and battery power. I've had a hot neutral AC line earlier (fixed 2 yrs ago) and it is easy to get a ground loop here. To compound it, the 7000 DLE II I received had the case factory painted such ...

"Hum" on Carrier - Very odd
Greetings folks- I started having trouble with stations not being able to decode my Olivia transmissions using FLdigi and the VAC409 cables. Thetis version 2.9.0.6 Lands up my signal is not clean. It has another low freq audio signal superimposed on it. Looks like 60 hz hum possibly. Is it possible ...

Starting from Scratch Again with Digital Setup
Hey guys. Well, set the Laptop up for another radio on FLdigi and WSJTX and I'm starting from scratch again with setting up 7000 DLE/Thetis. Virtual audio cables work and Com0Com used to work. I can't get any communications between the PC and Laptop. Even a DTR/RTS separate port PTT isn't working an...

Yeah. Looks like I'll need a fresh copy of the VAC program. Wasn't a windows update. Just used it for Zoom meetings on the road.

Came back from vacation, fired up the 700DLE II and the VAC 1 input device isn't loading. Output VAC 1 shows up fine . In sound devices - says Mic 1 VAC input device "not plugged in". Strange. Anyone have any ideas? VAC 1 on Output side shows "Line 1 VAC" not "Mic 1" VA...

Re: What Mic Are You Using?
After much research and testing...I landed on the Audio Technica AT-2035. It is a medium diaphragm condenser. Looks great, sounds great and won't break the bank. You do need a phantom power supply. I use the Behringer DSP-110 "Shark". It offers it's own noise gate and compressor too. Cheap...

Let's Compare AGC Settings
Greetings folks-
I have not been able to get the Slow AGC set the way I like it. It is OK....but I'm unable to get a nice linear slow release.
I wonder if someone out there has found what they think is ideal? Lets hear from some folks on what settings they like.
Thanks- Bob - AB5N

Greetings all- This post is to address issues with the 7000DLE III which could cause you to have RF feedback. Situation: The case on the 7000DLE II (MK II is Black) has ground bonding issues. The case front and rear covers are not electrically connected to the main case shell. The paint insulates al...

Re: What affects Thetis Boot-up time?
Gotcha- Well, I did a full re-boot and it shortened it up again. I'm actually wondering if using DHCP on both ends lengthens the boot time? I'm reticent to go with fixed IP on both ends as I originally tried it and failed. I'm having so much fun with the radio, I don't want to make it a 4 Advil afte...

What affects Thetis Boot-up time?
When I first set the 7000DLe II and Thetis up, it took about a minute to boot.
Now at one month in, it takes almost three minutes to boot.
I am using DHCP on both ends.
Anyone have knowledge of what affects boot up time?
Thanks- Bob-AB5N

Anyone see "ADC1 Overload" on TX?
Hi guys- Does anyone else get a "ADC1 Overload" warning during digital transmission? I'm running Protocol 2 with a DLEII. Running VoiceMeeter to route TX monitor audio to speakers. ALC is -2. Signal is clean. Only if I reduce VAC 1 TX Gain to where it is about 10 W output- does the warning...

Indeed the click to tune mode with the option turned on does lock it to the selected tuning increment.
I just did not see the DX Cluster Spotting option. Just turned it on!

Locking the Drag&Tune to Even Increments
Hi All- Well, as a Noob, I'm going to be posting some questions I think everyone will be interested in knowing the answers to. I see that tuning around by dragging the display with the mouse - moves in frequency increments dictated by level of zoom that your display is in. That makes sense. The issu...

Re: Ideal AGC Settings?
So nobody has any insights on this? What I have determined is that there is no release time constant adjuster.
It is always at about 1 second. That- is what we need to have real control of AGC performance.

Does anyone know how we might determine the correct output level to drive the TX when playing back Wav files. As an aside: I never was able to get my 7K DLE II to talk to my laptop with a fixed IP on port and SDR. I'm using WiFi on my laptop for net. Only with DHCP on port and SDR will they talk. Same subnet and all is happy. Maybe I would not be able to talk to the radio from outside my LAN. I'm not going ...
