Re: Changing Voltmeter

Please Try This:

Setup / Display / General CPU Meter (ms)

Change to 9999

Mine is more stable but simply because the refresh takes so long.

Re: Changing Voltmeter

1. Power cord is 3 feet long 8 ga. stranded. 2. 7000 DLE mk 2 3. Condition is in receive mode, AF gain at zero. 4. The variations are greatest during receive mode. During 100w CW key down I see 13 to 13.2 volts with occasional variations in between. 5. No other devices are connected. 6. Home has 400...

Changing Voltmeter

Concerning the voltmeter reading in the lower left on Thetis..... Mine constantly fluctuates between 13.1 and 14.3 volts. It's never steady.
Same with 3 different power supplies and other voltmeters indicate no variations.
What causes this?

Back up and running now. Using static IP.
Still don't know what happens when the PC is in sleep mode and the Anan is turned on. Bad things for sure.

Re: Do not use APIPA when programming an IP address!

I did follow your directions..... I did try Protocol 1 and it will not work either. I'm not sure what you mean by "do not use APIPA when programming an IP address". I thought APIPA was for when you don't want to program an IP address and it would automatically assign an IP. After all, isn'...

Re: Do not use APIPA when programming an IP address!

I'm back with the same problem. I've been working on this for 3 hours this morning and cannot get Thetis to run. Here's what happened: A week ago I got a new PC, installed P2 and Thetis, upgraded to 64 bit Thetis. I'm using a second NIC with DHCP. It has worked perfectly for the past few days. Last ...

Re: Thetis 2.8.6 Released!

Thanks for the update! 64 bit Thetis reduced CPU% usage from 3% to 1% (Thetis only usage) at 192k sampling rate. Impressive. System usage peaks out at 4% with 11 tabs of Chrome, Logger32, Telnet and VSPE running. Observation: Switching between RX1 sample rates was seamless with previous version 32b...

I had them with 2.6 but with 2.7 they went missing.

Re: Do not use APIPA when programming an IP address!

Thanks for the info... Do you know what these windows are for? If you select one, what happens and how do the number get there in the first place? Did you enter your static IP manually in the top one or did the software pick it up? If you click on one then click Select IP does that put that IP addre...

Yes I've had that done for a long time. Doesn't seem relevant to the sleep issue though.
I'm still hoping someone will try to duplicate this problem.

Sorry...Yes it looks exactly like your photo.
I did mention that for a while I had a static IP on this. That's what started the whole thing and you explained how to
reset the Anan back to DHCP which I did.

Re: Do not use APIPA when programming an IP address!

Yes the connection from the Anan is via cat6 about 20' long to the extra NIC in the PC. Restarting? Well I would have to wake it up before restarting it but that doesn't help any. I can power off/on the Anan, unplug the ethernet cable, reboot pc...nothing seems to matter. I then go into Bootloader a...

Re: Do not use APIPA when programming an IP address!

BTW: I had been using this since April with the stock DHCP settings and never had one bit of trouble UNTIL
My son, who is an "IT Expert" came down and preached to me the importance of a static IP address. I saw no need for it but I let him set it up.
It's not worked right since.

Re: Do not use APIPA when programming an IP address!

Ok on the last 2 digit comment. I'm learning. The IP address shown in Thetis's menu has been the same throughout this entire debacle. So here's a question: When using bootloader... You ask it to show the IP address of the Anan. It comes back with 0.0.0.0 which is what I told it to do (DHCP)... So if...

Re: Do not use APIPA when programming an IP address!

When I got my new 7000dle I plugged it directly into my extra NIC and it came right up. Worked great for 2 months until my son, an IT guy, convinced me to use a static IP. I did so and it worked for a week or so then suddenly I am in a total mess. Every morning when I awake the PC, the Anan won't co...

Re: 7000DLEMKII Black Case Not Grounded

Wow. Thanks. I was beginning to wonder if I was seeing things! To further complicate things, the SCREWS are painted! Is this something new? I had to scrape paint off the underside of the screw and that's not easy. Maybe a new set of stainless steel screws would be in order? Anyway I thought everyone...

7000DLEMKII Black Case Not Grounded

Having experienced some odd ground loop problems I decided to check the continuity of the case. Between the rear ground lug and other case parts i.e. top, bottom plate, front panel etc... There is around 2 megohms resistance! Nothing conducts! The problem is due to the painted bolts and bolt holes. ...

I ended up keeping the caps and shielded 1 pair cable. These were necessary however they couldn't work until I cleaned off the paint under the washer. There is a possibility that shielded cable isn't needed but I didn't go back and try it. The toroid aren't necessary when using shielded speaker cabl...

RFI CW Thumps, Bad note - 7000DLE Black

Here's my story about severe RFI problems and the cure with my 7000DLE (1 week old) black. On 40 meters and above I had the following RFI problems (All CW related) 1. Thumping in speakers when keying 2. Distorted sidetone 3. Reports from others of bad CW note (Sounded like a buzzer) I am using a pai...

QSK TX AF Monitor?

TX AF Monitor adjustment stopped working. I do hear it but cannot adjust level. When in QSK with MON off I can hear the receiver's sidetone via direct connected speakers but cannot vary the level via the TX AF Mon control. Even with it set at zero I still hear the receive sidetone. Actually I would ...
