Re: Thetis v.2.10.3.4 x64 - Advanced VAC Controls
JJ, I am using cmASIO, which disables VAC so none of the settings in my VAC tab are even relevant anymore. Indeed, it's been so long since I've used VAC that I'd have to go back and study the specific settings I was running to try and jog my memory as to why I was running them. I will also say that ...

Re: Strange CW behavior al of a sudden
JJ, The fact that you don't have a problem with RF appearing on a RX-only port doesn't mean you don't need to update your firmware. Norbert's saying that the updated firmware also appears to fix the key-down behavior issue in CW. So his suggestion is that you should update your firmware to 2.2.1. Mark

...That's what I meant by "spirit of the law". If you are in a long winded over then you are already in TX and the ID can go out over the air. If someone else is in a long winded over then the channel is busy and nobody can complain that you had to wait. Just sayin, the letter of the law ...

But obviously, the update causes me to have some questions. First , it appears that we have now gone down from 1.5kW to 1kW (but the "description" and "specs" conflict with one another - of course that is nothing new). Nonetheless, the "new name" is "ANAN G1-1K&qu...

Nuno, I'm using this boom with my AT2035 mic, it's quite inexpensive and I like it a lot: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BWM5E8C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 The mic cable is hidden inside the boom arms, I like that too. I wrapped the springs with bicycle inner tubing to ...

Thanks Scott. So I went searching for some insight as to how the GPL license might be applicable (or not) to any specific derivative work and found this: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2622355 In that paper, Sections 3.2 and 3.3 appear to be the most relevant to the instant case...

I'm also keen to see how the software is going to be offered for release, given that it clearly incorporates Dr. Pratt's PureSignal algorithm, and especially if it includes cmASIO and/or Richie's new meters.

I do believe it would also be the only other radio besides the Anan that is capable of true Diversity receive (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
I use Diversity so often that I'll never own another radio that doesn't offer it.

Re: Major new version of Voicemeeter now in pre-release
In fact I do all of my mic processing (except Leveler) in VoiceMeeter. VM Potato has a fully tweakable six-node parametric EQ for all 5 hardware inputs (and every output), and also has a reverb control (no such option is available in Thetis). Here's my mic EQ curve and reverb settings (the small but...

Re: Thetis and display truncation
On the 4K display the problem is most likely that you have the Windows scale and layout settings set incorrectly. Go to Settings > Display in Windows and make the appropriate adjustments. Note that a lot of folks have trouble with scaling set to 125%. On my 4K display I have it set to 150% and that...

Re: Beginning of transmission spike
Scott, I understand that. My point was that even if the Thetis pipeline is flushed there may still be some not-yet-delivered audio in the upstream pipeline that's going to come through when the PTT is pushed, notwithstanding any particular settings in the General > Options > Options-1 page. Mark

Re: Beginning of transmission spike
This problem could easily be fixed with a code change to Thetis. I suggest that the transmit audio buffer should be cleared just before a transmission when the PTT is activated. That way any sounds collected my the mic would be purged. I fought this problem and my only solution was to use headphone...
