What red box? :D  - I laugh jokingly of course, because if you haven't seen it your system is working great ! Untitled.png It will only be shown if the desired fps (configured in setup) is not being achieved. If you run GDI+ then this will impact pretty much all the UI, and slow it down due to...

Re: Fun with SEQ Log :-)

This seems like a very minor problem. DHCP ack broadcasts should be relatively rare, even on a well populated LAN. Not saying it shouldn't be fixed, of course. I mostly get seq errors when I apparently oversubscribe the critical threads (get the red box). This could be proven by showing that all pa...

Re: 2.6.9

Anything above refresh of screen is somewhat pointless as what you see on screen is essentially locked to vsync being that it is being rendered into something on the desktop. Also keeping it lower rather than turning it up to 11 reduces the chance of the rest of Thetis from missing a beat. All good ...

Re: Fun with SEQ Log :-)

No idea, I started to investigate how to get a dev environment up and running for the firmware last night, then I slapped myself out of the bad dream. Joking aside, it does need looking at for this alone. Short term solution is to vlan the radio or put it behind a router to filter port 67/68 traffic...

Re: Fun with SEQ Log :-)

Ok during the testing of this dumpcap system I found something very interesting here. Here, the 7000dleMk2 (pre4) just gives up sending packets for a while, for every single DHCP ACK broadcast UDP message that happens on the lan as part of the DHCP messaging. As there are something around 20-30 devi...

Yes Michael, it seems that the radio doesn't build packet checksums for the UDP payload. Scott, I have added your wireshark idea in and is working well. as far as I can tell, there is nothing significant Scott, other than the issue I found with pulling the seqlog over to the 'ui'. I have just reworked a bunch of it and it is behaving as expected now. VS2019 memory profiler reports zero issues.

Not sure what you mean by "on the end of it" Seems like DirectX is not having the memory problem at least in the short while I've been running it. One other thing you might consider...don't do any drawing when the window is minimized. I do that in some of my software to prevent CPU usage....

Well you are seeing roughly 1MB per 10mins, if you take your 620 to 765 reading over 2hrs, which just isn't occurring in the memory profiler here. Perhaps the cat connection is doing something all the while? what was on the end of it during that 24hrs?
