Re: piHPSDR G2 encoder menue

Please see the previous posting. Also, my PTT seems to no longer work when using the front panel Mic Jack with pihpsdr, however it still works when using the Thetis program with same configuration! John N2KBE There is something magic going on, since there as no change about this in piHPSDR for a lo...

Re: piHPSDR G2 encoder menue

Sorry, after I have implemented the "Defaults" buttons and load the defaults upon program start, I had forgotten to move the initialization call upwards, so the Encoder settings were re-set to default AFTER being read from the props file. This is now corrected in my master branch github.co...

Re: piHPSDR new: P1+P2+PURESIGNAL+DIVERSITY

In my github account of piHPSDR, I have not include a file named "RaspPi-piHPSDR-Installation.pdf" that documents step-by-step how to get to a running piHPSDR, starting from downloading a Raspian image file that is burnt to a new SD card.

Hope this helps.

Yours Christoph DL1YCF.

Re: piHPSDR new: P1+P2+PURESIGNAL+DIVERSITY

The "make" program belongs to the "core utilities". Programs such as "make" and "gcc" are indispensable to compile ANY program. To help you further, you must indicate what kind of computer you are using. I have successfully compiled and run piHPSDR on MacOS (w...

Re: piHPSDR new: P1+P2+PURESIGNAL+DIVERSITY

I think what you did is to extract the lastest "released" version. Instead, you should extract the actual source code tree from the github archive. This works as follows: - go where you want to have the sources - issue the command git clone https://github.com/g0orx/pihpsdr This creates a s...

Re: piHPSDR new: P1+P2+PURESIGNAL+DIVERSITY

On my github account github.com/dl1ycf you will find a pre-compiled binary and instructions how to load the GTK environment still needed. If you are familiar to UNIX/LINUX, you can equally well build it from the sources, also using the "homebrew" universe on MacOS. But then, you also need ...

Re: Anan 8000DLE and SDR Console will not transmit

This is a big problem with transmitting on the 7000 and 8000. SDR-Console does not seem to expose the "gain coefficients" that PowerSDR-mRX and Thetis use to limit the maximum power to around 200 watts for the 8000 and 100 watts for the 7000 on each band. 73, Ed, N5EI Those programs have ...

Re: Do not use APIPA when programming an IP address!

Scott, It's cloudy enough for me to suggest that it's wiser to assign a static IP through a router! The main reason for assigning a static IP address is (at least for me) that I can use the gear both in my lab (connected to a switch) and for doing QSOs (where I have a direct wire between the SDR an...

Re: Do not use APIPA when programming an IP address!

Again, if, hypothetically speaking, if the radio has an IP of 192.168.1.5, and the PC is 192.168.1.4, then it should not matter if the radio subnet mask is 255.255.0.0. With that subnet mask the radio should happily communicate with any IP in the range of 192.168.x.x. I just took a look through the...

Re: 7000 and 8000 Protocol 2 users: what say you?

Hi Guys, This build has some thermal parameter changes in the Quartus (FW Compiler) timing area suggested by our resident Systems Guru Scott/WU2O. The idea is to tell Quartus to compile for a wider thermal range and hopefully work better on more or most 7000/8000's https://www.dropbox.com/s/ndahfr5...

piHPSDR new: P1+P2+PURESIGNAL+DIVERSITY

Hi folks, as an outcome of my recent work on piHPSDR, I now can report major improvements: - working with P1 and P2 - PURESIGNAL working both with P1 and P2 - DIVERSITY implemented a-new, and working with P1 and P2 - CW working in all respects: CAT-CW, LOCAL-CW and internal-CW. You can even do "...

Do not use APIPA when programming an IP address!

Dear all, If you "program" a new IP address into an ANAN-7000 (this probably is also true for all other devices), the netmask is tacitly kept (left unchanged). This means it is not possible to "program" an IP adress, say, 192.168.1.12 with netmask 255.255.255.0, by simply connect...
