Scott,
I've changed the Jumper and all appears to be well.
I'm assuming that no Bias was causing an inpedance mismatch and causing the noise on the mic.
Thanks again.

Re: Hermes Mic Input
Scott, Correct on all points. It will be interesting to see the result when the Bias is connected. It would appear in my current setup that there is an impedance mismatch due to no Bias powering the FET in the element. It also explains why there is only two shorting clips in the radio, because you s...

Anan 10 Amp Keying (Hermes I/O Pinout)
Hi, I just wanted to ask for confirmation of the pins for Amp Keying on the Hermes board Anan 10 (26 Pin I/O) Looking at the schematic it shows pin 1 for PTT out and pin 2 for ground. When converting to an IDC connector according to the Anan 200 manual this flips to pin 26 and 25 respectively. There...

Strange.
Why announce something then remove the link
You would have thought they would have updated us
with the status.
Oh well.

Re: Introducing the ANAN-8000DLE MKII
Hi,
Is there any update on delivery times. I also believe that the PA is 500w from what I’ve heard.
Is anybody aware of this ?
That would maybe explain the higher voltage supply required.
Thanks
Glenn

SWR Meter Option and Panadapter Display
Using Power SDR MRX v3.49 1, Is there an option to display the SWR in the display window on Tune. It displays the SWR when in SSB and transmitting, but I want to use the SWR meter to tune my Doublet whilst using the tune option. 2, Is there also a way to remove the centre line displayed on the Panad...

Re: Background noise when PTT keyed.
To save rambling through the post, Anan 7000dle MKII users using mic in (front or rear on radio). If you TX and don’t speak do you hear noise through the monitor and see it on the panadapter ? I am experiencing this noise with and without the mic plugged in with the mic level set. Thanks Glenn P.S. ...

Re: Background noise when PTT keyed.
Hi Scott, Thank you for the quick response. If I reduce the Mic gain slider to -10db (minimum setting) the noise disappears on the panadapter with a mic gain reference on the meter of -80db. This is with no mic plugged in. If I do the same procedure with mic plugged in the noise does reduce but is s...

Re: Background noise when PTT keyed.
Hi Scott, I've looked at the information but can't figure out the audio path for the USB / Headset routes in relation to the codec. I've taken your suggestion and set up a USB Headset and the noise isn't present when the microphone is keyed, so clearly there is a problem with the front and rear mic ...

Re: Background noise when PTT keyed.
Hi Scott, Thanks.
I will pick up a USB head set and give it a go.
Once question,
Does the line in or USB connection not enter the CODEC via these routes ?
I thought the digital process started here after the microphone.
Thanks
Glenn

Re: Background noise when PTT keyed.
Hi,
Thanks for the advice.
I don’t have a USB headset but I do have a USB
microphone, so I assume I can use VAC2 to test because VAC1is being used for the receive audio.
My 7000 had the built in I7 processor so
I assume I will use the USB on the back of the radio?
Thanks
Glenn

Re: Background noise when PTT keyed.
I’ve done further testing and the noise isn’t present on TX. When I turn the mic gain down irrespective if there is a mic plugged in or not, the noise disappears. The noise is present through the monitor function and is shown on the panadapter when TX keyed and mic gain is turned up, with or without...

Hi, I’m a new user of a 7000dle MKii. I’m trying to set up the TX audio using the rear mic input with a standard PC Condenser Mic. I have set the Mic to tip, Bias to on and PTT to off utilising the space bar to key up. With the monitor on mic unplugged and the PTT keyed without speaking there is -44...
