Saving audio settings

Maybe this has been discussed already but if so I have to come up with this topic again as just recently I experienced very odd behaviour after I thought the system is "stable" now. Playing around with a different microphone and trying to set up the equalizer all of a sudden I noticed comp...

Re: ANAN 7000/8000 and MMTTY

O.k. that is what I noticed meanwhile. Once a specific Transmit Profile with the Digi settings is saved it will enable VAC when changing to Digi and disabling when leaving Digi even WITHOUT the 'Auto Enable' box checked. So obviously the only way is to have the settings correct in the TX profile rat...

Re: TX Profiles lost

Is there a way to access the TX profile files that are listed in the 'Transmit Profile' selection on the main screen but cannot be seen in the PowerSDR folder? For instance I see 5 TX profiles in 'Transmit Profile' (next to the MIC slider) DL5RBW-AM DL5RBW-FM (VHF) DL5RBW-JST 245 DL5RBW-HC5 DL5RBW-S...

Re: ANAN 7000/8000 and MMTTY

Hi Larry, not so here - I have to enable or disable VAC1 manually every time I change modes. The funny thing is that a fellow in our local club is running a Red Pitaya based SDR but with the same PowerSDR software. With his installation it works as expected. Whenever he enters DigiModes VAC1 is enab...

TX Profiles lost

When I installed "Virtual Audio Cables" and "MMTTY" for RTTY operation this afternoon I noticed that the last TX Profile that I used over the last few weeks has gone. It is not listed in the "Transmit Profile" selection of the main screen anymore. I think that another p...

Re: ANAN 7000/8000 and MMTTY

It´s been a while but finally I got the time to install MMTTY and get it running. So far so good. What puzzles me is that I cannot set VAC1 so that it automatically switches to VAC1 permanently whenever going to DigiModes. There is an "Auto Enable" function in the 'Audio' menu under the VA...

Re: IMPORTANT UPDATE/DO NOT USE: 7000DLE fan noise fix

Hello Volker, just got an information from Apache Labs Support and they don´t know of any fan modification other than the "snubber network" which for reasons outlined above they do not recommend. Was your modification an official one and where did you get it from? What did you do with the ...

Re: Introducing the ANAN-8000DLE MKII

I didn´t read anything about 500 W when the ad was online but 200 W like the "old" ANAN-8000DLE. It is just easier to supply the 50 V to the radio and then use a stepdown converter to supply the lower voltages like 12 VDC, 5VDC etc. as the current in these low voltage circuits is approx. 1...

Re: ANAN-8000 - Rear speaker out L-R

Hi Helmut & Scott, thanks for your replies - I still had the radio open on the "autopsy desk" and shifted the jumpercable from J8 to J9 (on the ORION board). Not really expecting any difference other than R and L being reversed I assembled the radio again and hooked it up in the operat...

O.k. - here is what I found: On the ORION board are 2 sockets "J8 & J9" for Left & Right audio respectively. The situation that I already saw on the board layout schematic was confirmed by checking the cable jumpers. There is only ONE jumper connecting J8 (Left Audio output) on the...

Hello Volker, thanks for the information. Is that a new fan and what was the mod? New fan and/or external circuitry? Is it more pleasant (i.e. normal fan like noise) and is cooling sufficient? I will contact APACHE LABS SUPPORT and post the result here. It might be interesting to many..................

Re: IMPORTANT UPDATE/DO NOT USE: 7000DLE fan noise fix

For those who already have a deeper insight in that topic - what happens if I disconnect the original blower? I understand that the PWM controller shuts down if a proper "load" is missing however operation of the radio is not affected. That blower noise meanwhile is so annoying that I inte...

What happened to the 8000DLE MKII ad? Don´t see it anymore. Powersupply "noise" in this discussion refers to blower noise if I understand it right. I wouldn´t mind a little bit of blower or fan noise as long as the powersupply is "quiet" or let´s say "reasonably quiet" ...
