Re: I have a few bugs are they normal?
Hi all Just an update. My startup frequency problem seems to have cured itself. The 160m and 80m bandstacks have remained intact for some time. However I still have the deaf on start issue. Startup on 80m and no signals or even noise. Toggle from 80m to 40m and all fine. Toggle back to 80m and all f...

I have a few bugs are they normal?
Hi Running PiHPSDR on a Pi3 B with the official 7" touch screen. All working quite well with the exception of some annoying bugs. 1. When first switched on if I select 160m or 80m the VFO seems to be in the 5mhz range. All other bands seem to start within the band boundaries. If I set the frequ...

Re: Anan 100 mic in audio fault?
So further testing - Removed front panel Got the fault to happen again. Put a 40mm fan appx over U2 (Its not too far from the front) While the fan was running the audio started to recover. So I'm pretty sure it is a heat related problem with U2, either the chip itself or a bad solder joint. I guess ...

Re: Anan 100 mic in audio fault?
I've done some more testing and i'm sure this is heat related. From cold the transmit audio is perfect via the mic in jack. If I monitor transmit audio as the Anan warms up you can hear the audio starting to degrade and distort,. Then within a few minutes there is virtually no audio at all. While li...

Anan 100 mic in audio fault?
Sorry for posting here again but i cant really see a group for hardware faults! Hi All I was using the Anan 2 days ago and suddenly my tx audio went very distorted and very low. I tried cycling power etc but it was still distorted. I then left it switched off for a short while and swapped microphone...

Anan 100 S meter calibration?
Hi all I'm pretty sure my S meter is reading a couple of points high on receive.. I'm gauging this with other rigs in the shack. This is with the RX attenuator set to 0db. At the moment i don't have the correct equipment to do a proper calibration but If I can find the calibration data I could probab...

My built from spare parts Anan 100 is working but what is this?
Hi All My built up Anan 100 is working! Just calibrated power out across the bands and setup the mic gain etc. Had a low power qso and all seems ok except.... Quick question. When tuning or transmitting and switching back to receive it is taking around 2 seconds for the receive panafall display to s...

Re: Internal connections between Hermes and the 100W PA/Filter board?
Hi Scott Yes they are clear enough. Just waiting for some sma patch cables so posted these while waiting just in case I had missed something obvious. My Anan 100 is being made up from spare parts so other than the manuals and various pictures available i'm building this from scratch. Meaning I haven...

Anan 100 power switch function?
Hi all I am looking at the wiring layout on my Anan 100 and as far as I can see the front panel power switch only cuts power to the fan and Hermes board. I know the 12v relays on the amp/filter board are powered from the Hermes 12v supply rail via the Alex header so they will be off. However, the Am...

Internal connections between Hermes and the 100W PA/Filter board?
Hi All I am connecting a Hermes board from an Anan 10 to the 100W PA/filter board. I'm also using the Anan 100 case. SMA patch cable between J5 Hermes (RX in) to J13 Amp/filter (RX out) SMA patch cable between J3 Hermes(TX out) to J2 Amp/Filter (TX in) SMA patch cable between J25 Hermes (10mhz in) t...

Anan 100 - checks for replacement Amp/Filter board?
Hi all I have managed to acquire a working Apache labs 100w PA/Filter board to use with my AL Hermes board. It hasn't arrived yet but I am wondering if there are any checks I should be making before connecting it all. The only adjustments I am aware of are the amp bias pots but if this board was rem...

Anan Power connector?
Hi all
Does anybody know what type of power connector Apache uses for the Anan 100 etc.?
I mean the 13.8v power in on the 100W PA / Filter board - as seen on the rear panel.
I need a spare plug and im having trouble identifying it.
Thanks
Stu

Anan 100 12v power rail?
Hi All I'm looking at the schematics for the 100W PA/Filter board and the Hermes board. The PA board has the 13.8v power in and has a couple of regulators for 5v and 6v etc but there is no 12v Regulator. As far as I can determine it uses the 12v power rail from the Alex header and therefore from the...

Re: Building Apache 100W PA/Filter board need resistor values?
Ok thanks for the info. I acquired a complete Anan 100 case with the bare Amp board and a bare Hermes board. Both boards had the external connectors soldered in but that was it. When together it looked like a complete Anan 100 externally. I guess it was an early display only unit. I have a working H...

Apache 100w PA/Filter board hi-res picture?
Does anybody have a hi-res picture of the Apache 100W PA/Filter pcb or at least a better one than those in the Anan 100/100D/200D manuals?
Thanks
Stu

Building Apache 100W PA/Filter board need resistor values?
Hi All
I'm building the PA/ Filter board form the Anan 100 /100D /200D.
None of the schematics I have show the resistor values for R30, R31, R32, R65 and R66 .
On the schematic they are marked as TBD or TBA (To be announced/decided)
Can anybody tell me what these values are?
Thanks
Stu
