Re: Thetis 2.6.5 released

Hello Scott, With the earlier version of Thetis - 2.64 (1st version out), I could use the highest sampling rate with no glitches at all. I can not get any higher than 384 with the newer Thetis versions. This is the case with 8000 - 1.8 and 1.9 firmware. I was trying to post (Dropbox) some of the The...

Re: Thetis 2.6.4: Major New Release

Gary,
If possible I could send to Doug for availability to anyone. I want to be sure everything is ok for anyone to use without issues regarding proper distribution. As far as the program functions, everything works fine.

Thanks,
Joe

Re: Thetis 2.6.4: Major New Release

The new release is awesome. I have my sampling rate all the way up and no glitches. also buffer size at 128. I could not get this before. I did go into the code and added a few items mainly a drop-down menu that allows you to select "bypass" for the filters. Also, when you select "WB&...

Re: LCD Arduino Code

Scott I did get things to compile fine but could not get the sketch to upload. After searching I found that you have to use the ATmega328 (old bootloader) designation for the processor under the "Tools" menu. All works great now. I was testing the new port that I installed on the rear pane...

Re: LCD Arduino Setup on pc

I used the instructions listed in the 8000 manual but for some reason my lcd code will not compile in the step listed to “verify compilation”? Everything else went as planned. I know the Arduino software version is the latest. Any help or direction is much appreciated.

LCD code versions

I know there are newer versions than 1.8 which was loaded on my 8000. Are the later versions (1.9), etc. better? Which version is the latest and greatest to use?

Re: Orion (200D) and Orion MKII (7000 & 8000) users: P2 v1.4 released

Rafael I know you have probably tried this but I’ve had what you’ve described happen more than once. I reloaded firmware, started with new database and the rig would come up frozen or would freeze up within seconds. What cleared the issue for me was completely powering down the Anan power supply and...

Re: Protocol two across a LAN

Bryan Thanks for the reply. I just got a chance and restarted the PC and Rig, after everything powered down for three days, all started fine no re-sampling running at a high rate and not stopping. To be honest this happened once before a few months ago and the same scenario, after some days everythi...

Scott

I tried that at first, the sampler still ramps up and fails, not sure on this as I thought it would disable the resampler.

I hope I’m in the right place to post this. I have been running P2 firmware and Thetis for quite some time without any faults. I know this question keeps coming up and believe me I don’t want to offend anyone by any means. Is there any news on the protocol 2 firmware update? 8000dle - added control functionality

Re: Remote power on/off & remote control installs

I am planning the install of a RCA connector on the 8000 rear plate. Is there any way to find out if the power switch just grounds the control line to power the rig on?. Re: Remote power on/off ?

Scott Your remote setup is awesome! Thanks for the photo and information. I wasn’t sure from your info but I take it that you leave the on/off switch on the 8000 on and power up the 8000 by the remote power unit. You also brought out the bootloader switch connections to the 8000 rear by an rca or si...

Is there a way to remotely turn the Anan on and off? I have the Anan 8000dle. I plan to mount the radio remotely. A/D Temperature And RMDR Performance

I see posted on another site about the need for heatsink cooling on the A/D chips for enhanced performance. Is this something that has an effect on our Anan units? I’m not sure maybe this is already installed. If possible maybe someone could explain. GSTK - Good Stuff To Know!!
