Re: Angelia board : where's J40

Hi Richard It's incredible but true ! thank you. There is no reference on the silk mask of the board I have, but a quick test shows a direct trace between this connector and the buffer output. I frankly could'nt imagine a 125 MHz signal going out of a Berg connector. You made my day, thank you again...

Angelia board : where's J40

Hi The page 9 of the Angelia schematic shows a "J40" connector that delivers a buffered output of the 125 MHz clock. But I couldn't find it. Did someone knows where to look ? I wish to use this clock output to feed the L.O. of a 2m transverter (144 - 125 = 19 MHz and up) VY 73' Marc f6itu

Re: Andromeda Newhaven display issues

Hi All it's probably a little too late but ... The problem mentioned by DL4ZBG is crystal clear : the EDID eprom is corrupted. it's a rather common issue, and what we could consider as a "conception bug" (the write "disable" pin of this eprom is left floating) considering the pri...

Re: Angelia Build

Hi Jon & Steve I already saw your QRZ page, Steve. As probably most of all HPSDR fans ;- ) I approximately had the same approach, with 2 red pitaya (a 14 and a 16 bits), a "old timer" TAPR Hermes board, an Angelia and a not yet fully assembled Anvelina board (an orion clone in fact) . ...

Re: Tuning the Hermes/Angelia pre-driver notch

Thank you, Scott You had the same reaction I had :- D (except that I'm a lazzy guy, I used Elsie) I'll try to ask Kjell the question (I already bother him too often about the Munin400/Aries suite etc, I don't dare bother him too much). I'll simply measure with an analyzer what comes out of the DAC &...

Tuning the Hermes/Angelia pre-driver notch

I'm trying to understand how to set the variable notch filter located at the DAC output and centred at around 71 MHz on all Hermes and Angelia buards (C22, L4, C12 ,L3, C13). I don't think I've read anything about this filter in the OpenHPSDR literature.

Re: Angelia Build

Hi Jon Sorry for this late reply, I don't follow forum’s activity very closely. Finding an Anan 100D with a "dead" sdr is not easy. And frontend vendors who claim to be OpenHPSDR compatible don't offer satisfactory solutions. As far as I know, the best way to turn your Angelia into a worki...

14 bits board delivery status

Hi all (and a happy new year to the indefatigable Scott WU2O) a friend of mine ordered a 14-bit Apache board a month or two ago (maybe even longer, I don't remember exactly). Obviously, his payment was accepted, but he hasn't heard anything since. To whom can he send an e-mail to get confirmation of...

You're absolutely right, Scott As I allready said, I'm lazzy. Quartus is installed for quite a long time on my "Hermes lite" computer... and I didn't had the time to do the same on my main machine. It's done now ... and I took the time to browse all available firmwares. Without any doubt n...

Hi I'm looking for the equivalent of the Hermes J14 connector on the Angelia and Orion board (pin 2 precisely). Or more exactly, the connector dedicated to the PWM "EER output" on new generation boards. If someone allready has this answer... I know, I'm lazzy, but asking is easier than dig...

Re: Building Apache 100W PA/Filter board need resistor values?

Hi Stu You've been lucky finding this amp and filter board. for almost the same config (using a bare Angelia board), I had to redesign the whole filter set, switching and power supply. But that's the way I love ham radio :- D I haven't decided yet what kind of amp I'll use. Probably an SSPA palet. B...

Re: Building Apache 100W PA/Filter board need resistor values?

Hi Stu R30-32 is a simple pi attenuator (3 dB is far enough). This attenuator fixes the input impedance of the amp to 50 Ohm. So, this section is not mandatory, but it could improve the general performances of you amp (but divides by 2 the input signal level R60/61 is a divider for a second input.. ...

Hi Rob Totally agreed. It's a really nice interface once you have found how to deal with "right click" parameters. The lacks of audio processing is indeed a major problem (unable to demodulate any signal with my Hermes Lite). I hope this feature will be soon added to the project. Pluging a...

The speed of the Windows interface via such ...
