Re: Switching between phone and digi modes

Many thanks Scott, I can confirm that your suggestion to use VAC1 for both N1MM+ and digi program is the solution. Also thank you for making the point about using DIGU, not something I of which I was aware.

Re: Thetis 2.8.11 Released!

Hi Scott, My main use of the ANAN 10 is to drive 4m and 2m transverters and take part in VHF contests. Unfortunately in the UK in the SSB/CW contests the rules permit to use of data modes. Which means you need to be able to quickly switch from N1MM+ (doing Auto CQ on SSB/CW) to digital modes. So I w...

Re: Thetis 2.8.11 Released!

Thank you Scott, I had been under the impression that VAC1 was for use on RX1 and VAC2 on RX2 so another misunderstanding. I will have to find another way to TX data. Not my favourite mode anyway.

Re: Thetis 2.8.11 Released!

Hi Scott, Sorry for the delay I have been trying to gather more info. MGM = Machine Generated Mode ie data. I am using MSHV to generate the data but get the same problem with WSJT-X. The problem is no data is transferred on VAC2 to Thetis but OK from Thetis to MSHV for RXing data. Same setup works w...

Re: Thetis 2.8.11 Released!

I finally used Thetis 2.8.11 on my ANAN 10 and love it all the previous glitches etc have disappeared. What is useful, I can easily switch back to HPSDR. However there appears to be a problem on VAC2 audio not reaching Thetis from MGM programs. To check it is not my setup, I reverted back to HPSDR v3...

Re: Thetis 2.8.11 Released!

Many thanks Erik and Scott. On HPSDR v3.4.9 I get "shoulders" generated on TX . This is an intermittent burst of noise on both sides of my signal about 60dB down on the main signal and about 20 kHz on both sides, which looks like "shoulders" when displayed on a spectrum analyzer....

Re: Thetis 2.8.9 Released!

I have a ANAN-10 running v3.4.9 and would love to upgrade to Thesis. Does this new release mean I can now run it on the ANAN-10? and has it been successfully tested on Protocol 1 on the ANAN-10. I am assuming Protocol 2 is still a no no on this rig. Its my main rig, so I am scared I might brick it.....

Wave Recording NO PTT

I am trying to use the v3.4.9 Wave feature as an auto cq sender. The recording is OK, but the PTT is not switched when clicking play. I can make it sort of work using VOX but this is not very stable.
Is there a way of switching on the PTT direct from the PLAY button in Wave?

TIA

Re: Using Pure Signal on ANAN 10 with a transverter

Hi all, I have been having another go at making PS work on the ANAN 10 with a transverter. My transverter has a mixer for TX and another for RX so I opted to use the RX path for feed back. From the notes on this forum it seems I could either feed the signal back into the short circuit or dis the int...

Re: When PowerSDR won't start or exhibits bizarre behavior (database reset/removal)

I seem to have stumbled across a cause for "PowerSDR won't start". I am running OpenHPSDR mRX v3.4.9 on an ANAN 10 and using Virtual Audio cable on both VAC1 and VAC2. With VAC 1 and VAC2 enabled and the Resampler of VAC 1 ON all is OK but if I then turn ON Resampler in VAC2 the program st...

Re: TX spikes caused by VAC?

Thank you for your thoughts Scott. Always learn something from your notes and this time its saved me buying a sound card. I will have to live with a narrow view of the band. Which is what I was trying to avoid. As a contester on VHF it is useful to "see" the whole band. Perhaps the promise...

Re: TX spikes caused by VAC?

Its been a while. But I am still trying to stop the clitches on SSB when VAC1 is "on" but not passing audio. So far I have run dpclat.exe which after an hour or so says the PC is unsuitable to live stream audio. Then updated the network driver, bought a new network board and changed driver...

TX spikes caused by VAC?

I am seeing random spikes when transmitting. They are visible on RX2 and are visible by other stations who are receiving me at about S9+10dB. They are radiating +/- 20 kHz from my frequency. By ticking "Limit Stitched Receivers" the spike occurance is much reduced. If I turn off VAC (actua...

Re: Using Pure Signal on ANAN 10 with a transverter

Hi Scott, Thank you. After reading your notes and a bit more thinking... I realise that what I am seeing on the RX2 display is the 28 Mhz signal (although the display reads 70 Mhz) and this is reacting to PS correction. My circuit/mixer is doing nothing. Back to the drawing board. There does not see...

Using Pure Signal on ANAN 10 with a transverter

After several years of using an ANAN 10 and transverting to 70 Mhz with a 150 watt MOSFET PA, I decided to try and make Pure Signal work. I am just using an ADE-2ASK ring mixer, feeding the LO port from the transverter osc/buffer chain, the IF port to the 28Mhz RX socket and the 70Mhz sample to the ...

Prem, I confirm I am getting the same jump of AGC gain even after the complete reinstall.

Re: PowerSDR mRX PS 3.4.6 Released

I have just upgraded to 3.4.6 direct from 3.4.2. Lots of great changes, however, I use the XVTR feature to control a couple of transverters via the General/ANAN Cntrl feature and find only one, (VHF7) now works. It appears that the binary output volts have disappeared or only the first selection in ...

Process latency still high at 8200us. A good start. 2. Management Engine+Serial Over LAN+Local Management Service...

Your right Brent. The fans are not up to spec. The main CPU has a Heat sink with a working fan mounted on it, but the only other fan is in the PSU. The case does not have its own fan.
